Electro-acupuncture
WHAT IS ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE?
Electro-Acupuncture is the insertion of acupuncture needles into acupuncture points and trigger points close to muscles, joints and fascial connecting points that are stimulated with electricity. The electricity modulates signals of the nervous system, which can influence the cells, tissues and entire systems. While most electrotherapy techniques are transcutaneous, only allowing the electricity to flow over the skin, EA channels it into the body with pinpoint precision. EA is very safe for most people; however it is not recommended for patients with a pacemaker or a history of seizures or epilepsy.
